OUR MISSION
MVMT Church is defined by our shared commitment to applying the mandates of Jesus to our lives. Specifically, we believe in a fourfold mission centered around the attributes and teachings of Jesus.
A MVMT OF FAITH
As one group of people, we are collectively declaring and pursuing a MVMT of Faith. Not blind faith in any manmade institutions or governments, not in celebrities or elected officials, but faith solely in the One who started this movement over 2,000 years ago; our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This movement is based around what the Apostle Paul said in the book of Romans:
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
Romans 5:1-2 (NLT)
A MVMT OF HOPE
As one group of people, we are collectively declaring and pursuing a MVMT of Hope. Our world today is filled with so much suffering, adversity, and hardship, and as a result, hope is a luxury that is hard to find. Instead of placing our hope in things destined to fail, our hope is secured through the work of Jesus on the Cross. This MVMT of Hope is based on the promise from the book of Jeremiah:

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT)
A MVMT OF COMMUNITY
As one group of people, we are collectively declaring and pursuing a MVMT of Community. In a world focused on me, myself, and I, people are looking for somewhere to belong. Many groups have done well at including people from one group, yet exclude those from others. But according to the Apostle Paul, it should not be this way. From the very start, the Gospel was always intended to bridge the gap between us and God, and not only that, but also between "us" and "them". This MVMT of Community should cause us to look out for each other, to love one another, and to not only gather together once a week, but to do LIFE together. To echo the words of the Apostle Paul in the book of Philippians:
9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NLT)
A MVMT OF LOVE
As one group of people, we are collectively declaring and pursuing a MVMT of Love. In today's western world, hatred and animosity toward each other has exploded to levels we've never seen before. Even among our faith circles, hatred for our fellow people, those who just like us are made in the image of God, has become all too common. But according to Jesus, it shouldn't be this way. In fact, according to Jesus in the book of Mark:
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
Mark 12:29-31 (NLT)
